New
Orleans Will Rise Again
Kent Bowman speaks about the significance of this song:
"I was moved to write "New Orleans Will Rise Again" after following the Katrina Disaster on the news. I had visited New Orleans and understood the gravity of this situation. I spoke with a DJ from there after Katrina who told me that the situation was still very grave and they needed all the help they could get. As the Canadian Navy and the RCMP were involved in rescue efforts as well as Frank Stronich building homes for the dispossessed, it became in my mind, a Canadian cause. YJE agreed to record New Orleans Will Rise Again and I arranged to produce it as a CD, with proceeds going to help the Katrina cause."
